DoCare Geelong - Volunteering Organization
"Social Support for Older People"

DoCare Geelong began in 1979 with the support of the local community.  The program is non-denominational and receives government funding from the Department of Health, (HACC) Home and Community Care Program and is a Community Partner of Give Where You Live.

DoCare Geelong has a volunteer board of up to 11 directors and is managed by an Executive Officer, Office Manager and three Social Support Managers.

Through its volunteer base of around 200 and 5 staff members, DoCare Geelong supports in excess of 300 clients within the Geelong region including the SurfCoast and Queenscliff municipalities.

Our purpose is to support our clients to maintain their independence, autonomy and general well being. DoCare Geelong is committed to providing the highest quality, cost effective level of volunteer-based social support program's to older people in the community and their carers.  All social support programs are free of charge to DoCare Geelong clients and are coordinated by staff.
